International Bhagavad-gita Contest (IBGC) Guidelines

Quiz settings

There are a total of 20 quizzes for the entire contest.
For each quiz, there are 50 randomly selected questions from the question bank.
The questions shall get reshuffled for every attempt.
The choices within the individual questions are also reshuffled for some questions.
Only one choice has full marks.
For selecting the correct choice, you shall receive full marks.
In some questions, there may be more than one choice correct.
Each such choice has a 50% weightage.
Tick on the radio buttons for selecting your choice.
You cannot select more than one choice.
If you want to change your selection, you may choose another choice.
Only a few questions are given a hint as verse numbers.

Time duration

The time duration for each quiz is 60 minutes.
As soon as you click on the ‘Attempt quiz now’ button, the countdown will start.
It shall show in the left sidebar of the quiz.
If you complete the quiz within the time duration and you want to finish the quiz, click on the button, ‘Finish attempt…’ button.
If you do not complete the quiz within the time duration, the attempt will be submitted automatically.
The grades will be calculated according to the number of questions you had attempted.

Number of quizzes

There are a total of 20 quizzes, each carrying a weightage of 100 marks.

Number of attempts

We are giving two attempts for each quiz.
Maximum grade between two attempts shall be considered as the final grade for that quiz.
It shall reflect in the gradebook.

Gradebook

The status of your grades is automatically updated in the gradebook.
The final % grade is calculated based on all 20 quizzes.

Badges

Profile completion badge

When you complete your profile (First Name, Last Name, Email, Photo) you shall receive a ‘Profile completion badge’

Quiz completion badge

If you receive 60% or above in the individual quiz, you shall receive a badge for completing the quiz. There are 20 quizzes.

Badge for completing 3 parts

When you complete any one part of the entire contest, you shall receive a special badge for completing that part.
You need to score 60% or above in individual quizzes.
There are a total of 3 parts.

Trophies

Gold Trophy

When you complete the entire contest and secure 90% or above in the entire contest, you shall receive a Gold Trophy.

Silver Trophy

When you complete the entire contest and secure 80% or above in the entire contest, you shall receive a Silver Trophy

Bronze Trophy

When you complete the entire contest and secure 70% or above in the entire contest, you shall receive a Bronze Trophy

E-certificate

Those who complete the entire contest and secure 60% or above, we shall send e-certificate for completing the contest.
